The dishes of Mediterranean cuisine are among the most popular and healthiest in the world. Fresh foods such as vegetables and fruits combined with nuts, seeds and whole grains as well as fish and seafood are the main ingredients on the plates.
In South Tyrol, Mediterranean cuisine has long been established, also due to geographical reasons. The local gastronomy skilfully combines the flavours of the hearty local cuisine with the refinement of the light Mediterranean cuisine. Under the heading of "Alpine Mediterranean", a wonderful variety of new dishes has been created, offering us a very special taste experience. Bacon, beetroot, mushrooms from the local woods and the fine acidity of the South Tyrolean apple meet seafood, fish and Mediterranean herbs.
